ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting denied the public holiday of September 6 Defense Day, calling the viral notification on social media fake.
According to Express News, in a statement released by the Ministry of Information, it has been said that the notification circulating on social media regarding the public holiday on September 6 Defense Day is fake. Spreading fake news is not only immoral and illegal, but it is against the nation. There is also insult. The declaration said that it is everyone's responsibility to reject such irresponsible behavior.
It should be noted that the news was viral on social media that the government has announced a public holiday on Friday, September 6, 2024, on the occasion of Defense Day, under which all public and private offices and educational institutions will remain closed across the country.

اسلام آباد : وزارت اطلاعات و نشریات نے 6 ستمبر یوم دفاع کی عام تعطیل کے حوالے سے سوشل میڈیا پر وائرل نوٹی فکیشن کو جعلی قرار دیتے ہوئے چھٹی کی تردید کردی۔
ایکسپریس نیوز کے مطابق وزارت اطلاعات کی جانب سے جاری اعلامیے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ سوشل میڈیا پر 6 ستمبر یوم دفاع پر عام تعطیل کے حوالے سے زیر گردش نوٹیفیکیشن جعلی ہے، جعلی خبریں پھیلانا نہ صرف غیر اخلاقی و غیر قانونی ہے بلکہ یہ قوم کی توہین بھی ہے۔ اعلامیے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ ایسے غیر ذمہ دارانہ رویے کو مسترد کرنا ہر ایک کی ذمہ داری ہے۔
واضح رہے کہ سوشل میڈیا پر یہ خبریں وائرل تھیں کہ حکومت نے 6 ستمبر 2024 بروز جمعے کو یوم دفاع کی مناسبت سے عام تعطیل دینے کا اعلان کیا ہے جس کے تحت ملک بھر میں تمام سرکاری و نجی دفاتر، تعلیمی ادارے بند رہیں گے۔
