امریکا، روس، چین اور دیگر ایٹمی طاقتوں کے پاس ایسے جدید ایٹمی ہتھیار ہیں جن کے ذریعے اِس دنیا کو کئی بار ختم کیا جاسکتا ہے۔ اگر کبھی ایٹمی جنگ چھڑگئی تو سمجھ لیجیے روئے ارض پر انسان ڈھونڈے سے نہیں مل پائیں گے۔اسٹریٹجک امور کے تجزیہ کارنے کہا کہ ایٹمی جنگ تک معاملات پہنچیں گے نہیں کیونکہ ایسی کسی بھی جنگ کی صورت میں بقا کا امکان یکسر ختم ہوکر رہ جائے گا۔دنیا بھر کے ماہرین اس نکتے پر زور دیتے رہے ہیں کہ ایٹمی جنگ سے ہر حال میں مکمل گریز کے لیے باضابطہ بات چیت ہوتی رہنی چاہیے۔ کسی ایک ملک کی غلطی پوری دنیا کا امن ہی نہیں بلکہ انسانوں کی بقا بھی دا پر لگاسکتی ہے۔
یہی سبب ہے کہ ایٹمی ہتھیاروں کو حملے کے ہتھیاروں سے زیادہ ردِ جارحیت کے طور پر دیکھا جاتا ہے۔امریکا میں ایٹمی جنگ کے حوالے سے جو نقشے لیک ہوئے ہیں ان کے مطابق 500 یا 2000 ایٹمی ہتھیاروں سے حملوں کا نقشہ کھینچا گیا ہے۔ کوئی بڑا اور چھوٹا شہر محفوظ رہے گا نہ کوئی فوجی اڈا۔ ایسی صورت میں کتنی تباہی ہوگی اس کے بارے میں سوچنے ہی سے دل میں ہول اٹھتے ہیں۔
